Can we send a probe to Uranus?

A couple of days ago, Reuters reported that the Cassini probe discovered a new ring around Saturn.

Big deal.

I mean I like Saturn and all, but I prefer the smaller, less gassy planets; like Uranus.

Uranus needs to be probed. Maybe a new ring will be discovered.

(Can you believe I am almost 42 yrs old and Uranus jokes still make me laugh?)

Q&A with Triston

Brandee and I had Triston over to spend the night. Triston and I do a bunch of guy stuff during which time he usually takes the opportunity to illuminate the thought process of an eight year old.

"Uncle Gordy, what are we going to do tonight?"

"The usual - shoplift and throw rocks at cars."

"Hnnh? I don't throw good."

"Uncle Gordy, are there werewolves in the woods?"

"Yes there are."

"Will they eat me?"

"Yes they will"

"How come they don't eat Denny?"

(Denny is my father-in-law and owner of the woods.)

"Because they are Denny's werewolves. And they like him."

"Uncle Gordy, what is that?"

(Triston points to a large, triangular, gravity fed deer feeder.)

"Its a werewolf feeder."

"Werewolves don't eat corn!"

"No, but baby deers do."

And then came a whole bunch of questions and statements that I really couldn't comment on.

"Will turkeys bite you?"

"I am pretty sure I can karate chop a bat."

"Will bucks buck you?"

"Can we dig up that dead dog?"

"I can taste my fart in my pop."

Man. I gotta get me a kid.

Back for the Fall Season

AAANNDD We're Back!

More correctly, I am back. After a long hiatus, On The Stick has returned for the fall schedule. Damn near got cancelled but Jayne from "Knitting Today" held out for more money and so OTS snuck in.

So, what can you expect to see in the second season?

-- A Randy/Gina story or two. I think I am finally ready to write this down.

-- The Bozo Story. Yes. The Bozo the Clown Story. The Clown and I have a history and it is time for a full accounting. That Clown is going down.

-- The startling conclusion to the Sith Witch story.

-- More Gamer stuff. I didn't touch on this too much last season but this year I plan on showing my gamer geekiness in it's full glory. Those with weak stomachs may want to avert their gaze.

-- The usual drivel about my life and escapades.

-- And of course, more naked marsupials. (I have been assured by legal counsel that it is ok to look, just don't touch. And be certain to wipe the hard drive.)

That's the quick run down. Should be a wild ride. I hope you stay tuned.
